Denny, buff Mexican. RJ, hunting Californian. Cole, fishing
Southerner. Ryan, loving family guy. Richard, middle-aged New Zealander. This
past Tuesday, I just sat in a gym watching all of these guys and probably 10
more very different ones playing basketball. As I sat there, God just spoke to
me. He said, “They’re all here for me. That’s it.” The only reason that all of
those men are all in Tanzania is for God.
The longer that I’m in Africa the more God is teaching me
this lesson. He created such different people. He created blacks, whites,
Mexicans, short people, tall people, loud people, shy people, goofy people,
nerdy people, chill people. Why? To serve Him. To love Him. It doesn’t matter
what we are or who we are, He made each and every one of us for His pleasure,
for us to love Him. And you know what? He could’ve made us all the same. We
could all be clones of each other. But no, God made us to be unique. So today,
I’m embracing my uniqueness and that of the people around me. God made us
different because He wanted to. And that’s okay.
