Diving in!

Hey Family and Friends of the Expedition Team.

I just got off the phone with one of the leaders. And so far the team is doing so well!!

Their ministry host picked them up from the airport and they drove to his town that first night. When they arrived to his church at 3:30am they were greeted with plates full of rice and beans ha! And moments later the pastor said, "We are so excited you are here, and we have been waiting so long! You will do our church service at 6:30am!" So with a long travel day behind them, and 3 hours til church ahead of them…the team leader said they dove right in with great attitudes and a church service that they led. WELCOME TO AFRICA!

They have been able to rest a little as they adjust dont worry :).

As for today, they loaded up a van full of food and headed out to the "bush." They will be living with a tribe out there until September 30th. The downside to this great experience is that it is going to be super difficult to get to internet while in Kenya. This should only be the case in Kenya–I personally setup their ministry sites, and their next two contries will allow them to get internet regularly.

So the plan right now is to update you all when I talk to leaders from now until the 30th. This is not ideal, but they are really in the "bush of Africa" until the 30th.

The leaders are absolutely in love with these 14 women you all sent (let go) on this trip. They are incredible, as my time with them at their training camp proved.

Well, stay tuned for updates as I get them!!

Tonight they are eating freshly killed goat, and then they begin "ministry" tomorrow!! Let's all pray divine health over this team, divine unity, growth, and depth as they pursue the heart of God for themselves and all they meet!

Thanks!
