Electricity Cont.

So, if you read my last blog, you will know that my time with hospital ministry in Kenya was very interesting. I only got to pray for a few people, and had to leave without knowing if anything came of it. But a few days later God blew me away with a response to my short time in prayer!

As we went out one morning for door to door ministry, a woman came up to my translator, Elica, and said that she HAD to talk to me. As she started to speak, I was given the most incredible gift! She said that she recognized me from the hospital…I had fainted while I was praying for her mother. When they brought me outside to recover and throughout the rest of that day, the woman was  HEALED! Her abdomen was no longer swollen and she was no longer in pain. The woman and her family had prayed that they would get a chance to see me again and thank me, and here I was, ON THEIR STREET.

The woman’s family was so amazed that they could not deny the work of Christ in the healing and wanted to give their lives to Him. They invited me into their home and we prayed together and praised the God who HEALS. God knows my doubts and questions about healing, and He didn’t have to show me the fruits of my prayer, but HE DID. He is so good and was so glorified through that one day at the hospital, and that is just His nature!

As if that weren’t enough, we got back to the church and a woman was waiting for me and Jarah(my prayer partner at the hospital). She said she HAD to find us so she traveled to our church to testify about what the Lord had done. While I was passed out, Jarah had gone on to pray for children in another ward. One of these children had a severe infection and had been paralyzed in the legs for  quite some time. Jarah laid hands on his legs and prayed for God to heal him, and ten minutes after she left, the boy started frantically kicking. GOD HEALED HIM AND ALLOWED HIM TO WALK! How incredible is that?! And as she told us this story, with her little boy kicking and smiling in her lap, she said that God was so good and she must tell everyone she knew about what He had done for her.

Jarah and I both had our doubts about the power of prayer, but God blew us away and showed us that our doubting could not stop the plans that He had for the woman and that little boy. He used us despite our imperfections and He was so glorified. Only our God could do such a thing. He is so good.
