God in Uganda

Hey everyone,
There is so much to say about our first week in Africa.  I have no idea where to even begin.  A few nights ago i heard a song that said, ”I no longer want to talk about God as if he is not in the room.”  This has definately been my experience in Uganda.  I have never seen God move through a room and through are team like He did the last night of training camp and He has continued to pursue us in Uganda.  God has definately been with us from day 1, beginning on the first day, as we went to battle with class 5 and 6 whitewater on the Nile.  I didn’t know if we’d make it out, really, I think I was underneath the boat more than i was on top of it.  It was definately an excersise of prayer and a ton of fun as well.  Our first rapid in the boat was a fifteen foot waterfall, with little time to get comfortable in the water.  The same has also been true in Torroro.  On our first day of Ministry we heard horrible news.  A family we had met on the previous day at church had gotten in a motorcycle accident.  The mother broke her femur and woke up the next morning to discover her daughter had died.  It was really sad.  Our team walked into the room just as she was hearing the news.  We then spent the rest of the day trying to get the mother to good treatment where she could get an X ray.  We prayed for others at the hospital as well.  The rest of the week has followed with many events and overall the team has been very busy, but we all love eachother and our so happy to be here and even more happy that God is here as well.  I hope to have more time next week to catch up with everyone! We are healthy and safe!!
