I said my final goodbyes and anxiously made my way towards my gate. Not long after, I was able to board the plane that would be taking me to Atlanta, Georgia. As the plane was getting closer to landing, I couldn’t contain my excitement- I was going to be meeting up with my team soon! I honestly couldn’t stop smiling (someone seated nearby on the plane had noticed how happy I was and had to ask me why)! When I met up with my team, I knew this is exactly where I belonged.
When I heard that training in Georgia (before being sent off to Africa) would only last 4 days, I wasn’t sure if that would be long enough. But its crazy to see how God can work in you in such a small amount of time (and its even stranger that it feels like it has been much longer than it actually has been- these girls are already my family).
God is making something beautiful of all of us. And He is asking us to call on Him and depend completely on Him. He is teaching us to realize the power of Jesus Christ in us. He is calling us to speak life into those in Kenya, Malawi, and Tanzania. He is calling us to bring beauty from the ashes.
And we can accomplish this only through Him.
We leave early tomorrow morning for Kenya. I wonder what God has planned for us there!
