It’s difficult to explain…

It is difficult to explain the experiences that I have had on this trip thus far. It is difficult to explain how I have seen our Almighty God move. It is difficult to explain the times of joy, sorrow, and every other emotion in the book that I have felt. It is difficult to explain a 24 hour plane ride followed by a night of camping, into an all day excursion on the Nile, into another 10 hour bus ride. It is difficult to explain exactly how each and every one of these students I am leading have grown and stepped into their identities in Christ. It is difficult to explain how Tommy has felt the presence of God and how Darryl has put his mistakes behind him, embraced God’s grace and is now walking in freedom. It is difficult to explain how Dez has stepped more into the Man of God he always wanted to be. It is difficult to explain how Vayla has found courage and her voice that God has given her. It is difficult to explain how Bailee has learned and embraced that she is a woman of peace or how Megan continually walks in grace and eloquence into the most stressful situations. It is difficult to explain how Katy is learning to cling to God through the storm. It is difficult to explain how Anna is learning how to communicate effectively in a God glorifying manner. It is difficult to explain how Tess is learning how to walk through her brokenness and give forgiveness. It is difficult to explain how Amanda is discovering her voice and how she is not a follower but a leader. It is difficult to explain how Chanel is stepping into her own faith and is learning to rely solely on God for her purpose. It is difficult to explain how Shelby walks in the joy of the Lord and lights up a room with her presence. It is difficult to explain how Becca is embracing the grace of Jesus and is seeking the Lord on the conflicts within her spirit. It is difficult to explain how Beth is ready to let go of the things of the past, be weak before the Lord, and experience freedom!

I don’t know how else to really say it. How do you articulate fifteen days of our families life in a way that gives you all a glimpse into what the Lord has done and is doing. It is just so difficult to explain…
