Ken-Ya Celebrate?!

What is happening?! God. That is the answer. God is happening.

This last week has been a crazy one. That is for sure. But a good kind of crazy.
We left Uganda in a bitter sweet fashion. We were all sad to leave the beautiful country and the beautiful people but also completely ready for a change of pace. So when we finally got to Kenya, we were a little excited, to say the least. It was in the middle of the night when we got here so we couldn’t see much of Kenya, but I think it’s safe to say we all knew we were going to love it anyways.

We woke up the next morning a Sunday service and a beautiful time of quiet time afterwards. Quiet time in Kenya? I’m sure the majority of you reading this have never done that. BE JEALOUS. It was amazing. Just to be able to sit outside our house and look at the small corn field ahead and our neighbor’s garden as I worshiped with my iPod and journaled my heart out – it was insanely amazing. I completely knew in that moment that Kenya was going to change my life. And it definitely is.

I have been forced into a place where I have to learn to lean on the Lord and BE STILL.  That isn’t always the easiest thing to do. But only by the grace of God have I been able to do it. Kenya has given us the opportunity to just go out and spread the Word. With no other purpose but to make the name of Jesus to be known. I LOVE it! We are allowing God to use us to bring hope to a hopeless nation, Now that is an honor. We’ve only been in 3 days of ministry but if you had the opportunity to see the joy from my teammates faces as they tell me stories of door to door, you would think we’ve been here months! I cannot wait to see what the Lord will continue to do!

PS! I will be celebrating my 19th birthday this Saturday in Kenya with my new and beautiful family!
I can’t imagine a better way than this!
