Kenya in a nutshell (:

Hello BEAUTIFUL readers.
I’m sure after my last blog, several of you are scared to read this.
So, let me explain myself.
Yes, my last blog was written out of anger and frustration, but it by no means was me expressing that I wanted to go home.

I LOVE KENYA.
My heart breaks at the idea of leaving these beautiful people tomorrow.
But, there is a time and a season for everything.
God’s will be done.
So, I basically just wanted to say that I LOVE Kenya and I am so thankful for the opportunities we have had here. The ministry has been different EVERY single day. We have worked in schools, we have worked in clinics, we have prayed over people dying in the local hospital, we have fed the street kids, and given sermons and just loved on these people like we may never see them again. But, I know in my heart that we will. If not on this blessed earth, than in Heaven one day. And I’m content with that. God has just blessed us beyond words and I can’t imagine not being in Africa. Haha. Oh, and here are a collection of pictures all over Kenya (:

Yes, this ride has been a roller coaster, but it is so worth it. Everyday I learn and grow in myself, but more so in my relationship with Christ.
I don’t take ice cold water or power for granted any more (or showers!). I actually miss our squatty potty. I have fallen in love with passion fruit, pineapple, black current, and pink guava. Having Bronchitis in Kenya has SUCKED, but I’m so thankful it isn’t malaria or typhoid (which I treat in the clinic on a regular basis). We have gotten to swim in the waterfalls of Lake Victoria. We have rock climbed. We have gone out to a NICE restaurant and spoiled ourselves. We have taught the Africans to make macaroni and cheese. We have lived off of mangos. We’ve driven over the equator! We shopped in Massai markets and met tribe members! We have boated next to Hippos and naked Africans.

We have lived, we have loved, we have served. <3
