We have roughly 9 days left in Tanzania before we start traveling again to head home. I am amazed at how fast the last 6 weeks have gone, and how fast God works in our lives. I was filled with so much passion, joy, and energy as we arrived in Sumbawanga. God taught me so much in Uganda and Kenya. He has poured into me, broken me, and strengthened me. Now I feel that He is letting me loose to pour all of that out on these people, to give it all that I’ve got these last days, and make the most of every single opportunity I get.
I love the uncertainty of not knowing what God has planned for my life. It’s exciting. God has proved to me over and over that when I seek Him with my whole heart, He gives me His desires for my life–and they happen. When I dedicate my life to living for Christ, He is going to take me far and use me. I’ve been praying a lot about His future plans for me. He has stirred in my heart and has given me ideas that I have never even considered before. How blessed are we to serve a God who desires to use us (in big ways and small) to show His love to others. What an honor that is: to live for Chirst. I am just overwhelmed with the freedom that we have in Him-to forget our sin, our own desires, our selfishness, and give our complete selves over to Him. When we do that He RUNS with it, He does incredible things-things that we could never even dream of. Ah man God is so good. Wherever you are in life: seek God. Run to Him. If He is silent, keep talking to Him. If He seems far away, He’s so much closer than you think. God has plans for you, big big plans. But He cannot force you into that incredible life that He wants for you. You have to open your heart and choose to want what He wants. He will bless you and never let you down. I have proof of that.
