It’s been something like twelve days since i left home and I have no idea where to begin. After an amazing experience at training camp in tennesee myself along with 15 others left the US for Entebbe, Uganda and the ride has been non-stop since we got here. Starting with white-water rafting on the Nile (COOLEST THING EVER!!!!) we’ve now been doing ministry for the last three days.
I cannot stress how different ministry is here. People are so open to recieving the gospel which makes you immediately question their sincereity. This doubt has weighed on most of the team but we remain faithful in the Lord’s good work. On a personal level, I have been absorbing a verse in John which struck deeply within me on our plane flight between Amsterdam and Entebbe; Jesus is speaking when he asks, “How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes only from God?” John 5:44. My goal everyday is serve in a way that would please God, yet this will take much faith. I thank God for the faith he has given me and the faith of my team and we continue to find unity in our faith in God. We are always coming closer together in trust, so I rejoice for the team I am with because made no mistake when he put us together. For anyone who reads this remember that no matter where you go, what you see, or what happens, the creator of reailty loves you and our faith should be placed in his unrelenting mercy. THE HARVEST REALLY IS TOO MUCH.
