As we hugged mama and said I love you, I could start to see the desire within her eyes for more. For more of HIM. Then as we were walking away Mama asks us when we will back. Well yesterday we returned. We crossed the river, walked up the dirt path, turned the corner and there was Mama outside the house.
I can’t recall a time when I have felt so in grateful that HE brough me back to a home. As I watched Mama get up from her perch and hurry to greet me, I was overjoyed by the smile on her face. At that moment I knew I was right where HE wanted me.
We all surrounded Mama and Hilda, but this time it felt completely different. I knew that HE had been working on this home while we were gone. We all gave Mama and Hilda a piece of love; we spoke only words of encouragement over them for the next hour. Then moment came when I shared a word of encouragement with Mama. I didn’t think it was anything big, just a short verse in Isaiah that He laid on my heart. But it brought her to tears and again I knew that this was what HE was talking about. I fought to drive the enemy out of this house with HIS love, I fought to get HIS words heard, and Mama did.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
-Isaiah 41:10
As I read this verse to Mama I never thought that the words I spoke could bring a woman to tears. But HIS words did. Mama cried out that HE is her strength. HE helps her in times of need. And HE holds her up with HIS righteous right hand. I knew the words that were coming out of my mouth when I read this verse but I didn’t see this outcome. But HE knew that this was going to happen. In this moment I saw HIS words come alive once again and I was completely taken back by HIS wonders.
HE doesn’t always make sense when he speaks, sometimes HE confuses me more then He clarifies things for me, but when HIS words come alive in a moment it is something beautiful in itself. HE makes all things beautiful, but seeing HIS words come alive is beyond any beauty I could ever imagine. He is a magnificent and mighty God and I am so in love with HIM.
