These feet were made for walkin’

This week in Moshi has really flown by, I can’t believe that our time here is almost over…. and that a week from today we’ll be leaving East Africa for America. As I was thinking about this the other day, I had my head in my lap and was looking at my (mosquito-bitten) feet. God started to help me think back on all the places He’s taken these feet this summer. Playing tag with kids in Kwapa (the bush) Uganda, to the busy streets of Tororo, up hills and on top of rocks to watch the morning sunrise, in and out of tents and streams and Africa’s red, red dirt… over thorns (ouch!) and fire ants (double ouch!) and now to the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro… how many huts and one-room homes and hikes have these feet traveled around East Africa?
God began to remind me that Holy Spirit dwells inside of us, and that everywhere we step is Holy land. That He has a plan for these feet, and trekking across East Africa is only the beginning of it. He tells us that where His Spirit is, lies Freedom. As we continue this next week across Tanzania, would we remember that we are constantly walking in Freedom, and bringing it to everywhere we stand. Stand firm! Here is Holy ground :).
