Last week in Kenya

Family and Friends, Hopefully this is the last update you will receive on the blog from me, as staff! I am going to tell the leaders to make sure everyone blogs when they get out of the "bush" because I know you all are dying to hear from your Amazing Women on this team! That being said, I talked to the leaders this weekend. They said the team is still trucking along–but they are really looking forward to this country switch. The "Bush" has been incredibly hard physically–as it is very primitive. We intentionally put this country/ministry in the mix on our...

Team update

Hello Family and Friends. I just wanted to give you all a little update on the team. I talked to both of the leaders via phone this last weekend, and the team is doing great. The get to have plenty of bonding time as a team, which has been a huge blessing for them. Many nights there is a fire pit they get to surround and talk around. They are in the middle of sharing testimonies with each other, and they are hoping to have had everyone share before they move on to their next country. The leaders were telling me a little bit about how this team has brought something unique to where they are...

Diving in!

Hey Family and Friends of the Expedition Team. I just got off the phone with one of the leaders. And so far the team is doing so well!!  Their ministry host picked them up from the airport and they drove to his town that first night. When they arrived to his church at 3:30am they were greeted with plates full of rice and beans ha! And moments later the pastor said, "We are so excited you are here, and we have been waiting so long! You will do our church service at 6:30am!" So with a long travel day behind them, and 3 hours til church ahead of them…the team leader said...

Safe Arrival!

We just spoke with the team leaders and they've all arrived safely in Kenya.  They are in route to their ministry site and will be settling in these next few days and getting some orientation from their host.  Expect to see some blogs rolling out in the next few days as they find internet. Thanks for all the prayers for this team! The Passport field support team

Howdy from the Team Expedition Girls!

Howdy to all you amazing parents, supporters, friends, and fans of Team Kina Dada! (Kina Dada means, "many sisters" in Swahili. ) This weekend has been one full of teaching, preparing, worship, team building, and the start to many memories to be made! My name is Elizabeth, and I am so excited to be co-leading this incredible team of 13 girls into East Africa with Hope these next 4 months. These gals are absolutely amazing! I love their hearts for more of Jesus and the things that He desires! It's going to be one heck of an amazing journey – and I can't wait to...
