I lean not on my own understanding<3

“scars and struggles on the way, but with joy our hearts can say never once did we ever walk alone. never once did you leave us on our own. you are faithful God. you are faithful.”   Hello all! I hope good ole America is treating you well! As I’m sure you all are well aware, WE MADE IT TO TANZANIA. It only took us THREE FULL days on a bus. Talk about serious bonding time. Sadly, I bonded with the African that laid his seat INTO my lap. Haha. And, I cried the whole way. I did NOT want to leave Kenya. But, God is good.   In case you didn’t know,...

Kenya. Enough Said. #BOOM

So, I LOVED Kenya. I have to be honest and say that I had no desire to leave those people and places that I loved. I could write 50 blogs about all of the incredible things that God did there, but I only have 30 minutes in a sketchy Tanzanian internet cafe, so I’ll just give a Kenya recap…   July 1st: -gave my first sermon ever to a huge congregation -40 minutes flew by as I talked about the importance of the Word of God -got to sit in on the “boys talk” (every christian girl’s dream!)…it was horribly awkward and SICK. be careful what you wish...

What to Expect When You’re Not Expecting

For those of you who do not know – most of you – Tanzania was the ATL – Ask the Lord – portion of our trip. That means that when we left the states we had no idea where in Tanzania we would be. When we left Uganda we had no idea what ministry would look like, and when we left Kenya we only knew the name of the town we would be in and a phone number for our contact.       The way our ATL work was that while in Uganda we set aside two nights to pray as a team and ask the Lord for words or visions of what Tanzania ministry would look like. We then...

Electricity Cont.

So, if you read my last blog, you will know that my time with hospital ministry in Kenya was very interesting. I only got to pray for a few people, and had to leave without knowing if anything came of it. But a few days later God blew me away with a response to my short time in prayer!       As we went out one morning for door to door ministry, a woman came up to my translator, Elica, and said that she HAD to talk to me. As she started to speak, I was given the most incredible gift! She said that she recognized me from the hospital…I had fainted while I was...

Make The Most Of It

We have roughly 9 days left in Tanzania before we start traveling again to head home.  I am amazed at how fast the last 6 weeks have gone, and how fast God works in our lives.  I was filled with so much passion, joy, and energy as we arrived in Sumbawanga. God taught me so much in Uganda and Kenya. He has poured into me, broken me, and strengthened me.  Now I feel that He is letting me loose to pour all of that out on these people, to give it all that I’ve got these last days,  and make the most of every single opportunity I get.   I love the uncertainty of...

They’ve Made it Safetly

We just spoke with both sets of team leaders and they’ve all arrived safely in Tanzania.  They are in route to their ministry site and will be settling in these next few days and getting some orientation from their host.  Expect to see some blogs rolling out in the next few days as they find internet. Thanks for all the prayers for this team! The Passport field support team
