WE ARE COMING.

For the past four days we have been in the beautiful mountains of Taccoa Falls, GA at Training Camp. This is where team members came from across the US to meet and prepare for the mission field.  I’ll be honest, my emotions on my way to camp were very comparable to dread. The main source of this emotion was the thought of the unknown. Luckily, God has slowly changed my heart and as we prepare to leave for Africa in just a few short hours, I know we are ready to bring Jesus to the nations.  Training camp is quite tiring… We have two lovely leaders, Eric and...

Wait…I can DO THAT?!

Training Camp has come to a close and all I can say is “Thank You, Jesus!”  This is hardly because I’m glad it’s over- more so because I’ve been trained, equipped, anointed, blessed, taught, and loved here. He is so good…SO GOOD! When I was leaving home, I felt extremely ill-equipped. Thoughts like, “How am I going to carry all of my stuff for miles across Eastern Africa”, “How will I be bold enough to speak the name of Jesus to people who have never heard it?” and many others, both serious and simple, flooded my heart and...

Unexpected Lessons from an Unexpected Place

I had no idea what to expect from training camp for The Passport. Visions of boring name-games and lame team-building exercises came to mind. I came with low expectations and a “let’s-just-get-to-Africa” mentality. Although I am still an anxious mindset to get to Africa, I have been completely blown away by the personal and spiritual growth I have experienced in three days here. God has been opening my heart and my mind from the moment I got here and I can’t wait to see how He continues to stretch and mold me in Africa. Here are a couple of things I have learned...

Training to become Amazing

Training camp so far has taught us so much. It is really preparing us to go out and do the best mission we can. So far I have learned that we are basically going to do evangelism. That first scared the crap out of me. Like am I good enough to go spread God’s love and word? I really struggled with that thought. With my group we prayed together and talked a bunch. We are all good enough because we have God to equip us on the field. What really got to me here is the true worship. You will never know what worship is until you do it with a room full of 200 God fearing people. It...

training camp

Training camp has been wonderful. The Spirit of God has been all over this place, and has been doing so much in my heart and in so many others. The one word I can say to describe what He is doing in my heart is revival…just falling in love with Jesus but 10 times deeper than I have ever known. My team is super wonderful and hilarious, and I am confident that we will have a bunch of laughs. I have 2 amazing leaders that are always encouraging and wise, and are some of the best people ever. So far at training camp, we have declared freedom over the nations to which we are going and...

TITC (This is Training Camp)

“How beautiful upon the mountain are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion ‘Your God reigns.’ The voice of your watchmen – they lift up their voice; together they sing for joy; for eye to eye they see the return of the Lord to Zion. Break forth together into singing you waste places of Jerusalem for the Lord has comforted His people; He has redeemed Jerusalem. The Lord has bared His holy arm before the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the...
