13 Treasures of Africa

Let me just tell you a little bit about the treasures of Africa I have met this week. They are all God’s amazing treasures and have been put in my team’s lives for so many different reasons. We are all honored to get to know these children and be able to love on them. God has blessed us beyond what we could have ever imagined by allowing us to meet these beautiful faces.   Brayton is the absolute cutest kid in Tanzania. His smiles lights up the room and he loves to give kisses. He is one of the smallest boys which means everyone else picks him up and helps him. He is so...

Hey Team 3, penny for your thoughts?

I would like to share with you some information I gathered from each member of my team (expedition 3). I asked my teammates to consider one thing they loved about each country that we have been to as well as an overall statement to summarize their experience here in Africa. New Season of Life

Dear Family and Friends, Thank you so much for all of your prayers and support that you have missions. God has moved so much in my life during this time in ways I never thought possible. I have been able to travel to places and meet people that I never knew existed. I experienced the joy of Christ in Thailand by looking upon the faces of 80 girls saved from a life of sex trafficking. I have been able to...

So our time in Kenya was spent out in the Bush in the small village of Ngabolo. By village I mean huts spread out all over the country side what could be a five minute walk to an hour. The closest town was three hours away. It was a beautiful desert wasteland. Wonderful mountains and scattered trees surrounded us. During our drives to and from town we would see elephants, zebras and giraffes along the road. (Crossing the border into Kenya.)   (Our view every night.)   (These big guys carried our supplies 6k while we walked with our packs.  Other teams traveled...

We’re tenting in a pond?

The rains came down and the floods came up The rains came down and the floods came up The rains came down and the floods came up and our tents went floating away!          …So they didn’t really go floating away, but if they were empty they definitely would have floated away. Here in Tanzania, specifically Arusha, they aren’t in a drought like Kenya. April is rainy season and it doesn’t just rain..it downpours and thunderstorms for hours on end. In my mind that’s super awesome! I love thunderstorms, but...
