The Soul of the World is the Soul of God. It was made by God and therefore is God. I have a dream in life but I do know my path; my dream is probably the wrong interpretation of your greater plan anyway. But I do not fear for the Soul of God is with me. I will take the first step and follow you as I am led. My life will become one path of greater service to You. Service, which is faithfully loving, shall be the result of accepting Your leadership. Lead my life Christ through poverty, Mourning, Humility, hunger and thirst, mercy, peace, purity, and persecution. A path set out before me by...

Holy Spirit Fall

Hey Everybody, It’s been a while since I have blogged I know, but here I am now so let’s back track to Kenya, and what the Lord did there.  So this was on July 5th, me and the guys, who is William Cole & I, We were going out to do an (ATL), an (ATL) stands for Ask The Lord, which what we do is we sit & pray & just listen to the Holy Spirit, & directs us where to go.  SO about 10 – 15 minutes later Wil asks, so what did you guys hear?  I responded well He told me to walk towards the school; Wil laughed and said he told me to go to the...

God has a mouth

I’m going to take you on a journey. This journey as one stop: Vic Burrows. This is a man that I met two days ago, but has changed the course of my life in a simple 30 minutes. We are staying here in Moshi, Tanzania at a mission house, and there is a conference happening at a hotel about 10 minutes away from us. We walk to lunch and dinner every day. There is a mission team from New Zealand that is staying at the hotel, and this man Vic is one of the leaders. He’s actually from the States, and is a missionary in New Zealand right now. He’s probably about 60 some years...

Even As I Am Fully Known

When I began to write this blog, I was going to write about one of the awesome encounters with God that I have experienced in east Africa this summer. God has worked miracles on this trip, and revealed Himself to me in mighty ways: in the bush outside of Nanyuki, Kenya while going “west”, through a Java House auditor named Kaisine, in the heart of a night guard in Nairobi who asked the simple question of  “Why would Jesus weep?” and many more. God has been moving. This sounds vague, doesn’t it? I intended on telling the story of the aforementioned night...

Alive in Your Presence

Hey everyone! It’s Abby on Lauren’s account… I forgot my password (surprise) :). Being in Moshi has been such a blessing so far – God’s beauty radiates through all the brokenness that we’re see so brightly. Isaiah 55:12 says that “for you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and the trees of the field shall clap their hands.” I think about where we physically are – ar the feet of Mt. Kilimanjaro surrounded by God’s hot pink flowers and swaying trees...

A New Mission

Well, we are now in a new country, in a new town, with a new host, and doing new things. Hello, Moshi!   Every Wednesday night, our hosts, Ryan and Stacy, have all of the short- and long-term missionaries that are around come to their home for a night of worship. Thus, our second night here, we had the privilege of worshiping with several other missionaries. Can I just say: it was amazing! There is something so powerful about praising God with fellow believers with the same mission from all around the world. The house was packed with people: Stacy and Ryan’s family, our team, 4...
