Lord, I trust You…Or do I??

Lord, I trust You…or do I?   Just 3 nights into ministry in the Morekebu village this past week, we were woken up by moaning. I thought it would stop or decrease, but it didn’t. Should I go investigate the problem? Is it culturally acceptable to see if my host is okay? What if I embarrass her? These are the questions that plagued my mind for at least 15 minutes. Finally, I got up and walked to her room to check on her. When I walked in, I immediately knew we had to pray. I checked with the other girl in the room to see if it was okay for us to pray over her. She agreed....

Topista’s Psalm

First of all, the photo is of me and some students at Rock High School, which is the school I spoke at. The two girls on either side of me are really interested in art and the girl on the left in the photo sells her own paintings. I was really excited to meet them! You also might have noticed my hair is in braids. We got some weaves!   A few days ago, while doing door to door evangelism, I met Topista. She is an older woman who has been saved but was still very eager to talk and pray with us. After we were done sharing what we had to say to the small group of women Topista was...

God in Uganda

Hey everyone, There is so much to say about our first week in Africa.  I have no idea where to even begin.  A few nights ago i heard a song that said, ”I no longer want to talk about God as if he is not in the room.”  This has definately been my experience in Uganda.  I have never seen God move through a room and through are team like He did the last night of training camp and He has continued to pursue us in Uganda.  God has definately been with us from day 1, beginning on the first day, as we went to battle with class 5 and 6 whitewater on the...

Where to begin…

Hey everyone! I feel like so much has happened in the past week and a half and I have so much I want to tell you all! But I have to keep this short. Before even leaving for training camp, I had read an old blog that talked about prophecy and how they did that at training camp. It freaked me out a little bit but I know I had to trust the Lord. So the first couple days of training camp I was dreading the day I would have to deal with it. But then it happened and I realized that it’s not some weird out of this world thing. All it is is praying and listening to God. I have never...

The greatest miracle of all.

Oh my wdsfjghsdf lordy. WELL… I’m in Africa alright. I sit here in a internet cafe in the town of Tororo in Uganda with only 20 mins left on a server that take 10 mins to load a single page. So please excuse my word vomit because sometimes communicating God’s mighty movement gets a little messy. God has been stretching and pulling and breaking and  growing this little heart of mine.   Stepping blindly into this story with strangers who have never left my side since the airport has been just lovelyWhen our team left training camp, passion would be an...

Niwewe Bwana

It’s been something like twelve days since i left home and I have no idea where to begin. After an amazing experience at training camp in tennesee myself along with 15 others left the US for Entebbe, Uganda and the ride has been non-stop since we got here. Starting with white-water rafting on the Nile (COOLEST THING EVER!!!!) we’ve now been doing ministry for the last three days.  I cannot stress how different ministry is here. People are so open to recieving the gospel which makes you immediately question their sincereity. This doubt has weighed on most of the...
