Difficult Obedience and Righteous Joy

Holy WOW did God do some incredible things this past week in the bush! I could go on and on about the life of simplicity, rice and beans, walking literally uphill both ways to ministry and church, holding babies, playing with kids, praying for healing, and team bonding, but Internet here is incredibly frustrating… so I will just go with the highlight.   A big part of our ministry here has been hut to hut evangleism. The culture here is incredibly welcoming, and every hut we went to people were eager to shake our hands and offer us a seat. I have been absolutely astounded as to...

Topista’s Psalm

First of all, the photo is of me and some students at Rock High School, which is the school I spoke at. The two girls on either side of me are really interested in art and the girl on the left in the photo sells her own paintings. I was really excited to meet them! You also might have noticed my hair is in braids. We got some weaves!   A few days ago, while doing door to door evangelism, I met Topista. She is an older woman who has been saved but was still very eager to talk and pray with us. After we were done sharing what we had to say to the small group of women Topista was...

God in Uganda

Hey everyone, There is so much to say about our first week in Africa.  I have no idea where to even begin.  A few nights ago i heard a song that said, ”I no longer want to talk about God as if he is not in the room.”  This has definately been my experience in Uganda.  I have never seen God move through a room and through are team like He did the last night of training camp and He has continued to pursue us in Uganda.  God has definately been with us from day 1, beginning on the first day, as we went to battle with class 5 and 6 whitewater on the...

Where to begin…

Hey everyone! I feel like so much has happened in the past week and a half and I have so much I want to tell you all! But I have to keep this short. Before even leaving for training camp, I had read an old blog that talked about prophecy and how they did that at training camp. It freaked me out a little bit but I know I had to trust the Lord. So the first couple days of training camp I was dreading the day I would have to deal with it. But then it happened and I realized that it’s not some weird out of this world thing. All it is is praying and listening to God. I have never...

The greatest miracle of all.

Oh my wdsfjghsdf lordy. WELL… I’m in Africa alright. I sit here in a internet cafe in the town of Tororo in Uganda with only 20 mins left on a server that take 10 mins to load a single page. So please excuse my word vomit because sometimes communicating God’s mighty movement gets a little messy. God has been stretching and pulling and breaking and  growing this little heart of mine.   Stepping blindly into this story with strangers who have never left my side since the airport has been just lovelyWhen our team left training camp, passion would be an...

I am in AFRICA!!!

Hey everyone! I am in Africa and having a great time! God has been showing me so much of his power and magnitude and beauty in everything here from the Nile river, to the tops of mountains, to the children running around in teh streets! it has been a jam packed week so far we’ve rafted the Nile, been in an Ugandan wedding, prayed at a hospital, went to church, taught at a primary school, and evangelized door to door. Earlier today we climbed a nearby mountain. God is continuing to speak to me through the places and people i have seen and met. This is just to let you know what...
