So Africa is amazing! We have all grown so much. We’ve grown closer to each other but most of all closer to God. We’ve seen a woman who was paralyzed in her right arm for two years start to move her fingers. We’ve seen several people ask to have Christ come into their lives. We’ve seen all these amazing things, but I feel like we were called here for more. I feel like God is going to do some earth shaking, life changing, city shaping stuff (hence the title). And I feel like He wants to do it through us. The only question is, are we ready? Am I ready?
I don’t know exactly what He’s got planned or when He wants it to happen, but it will awesome and I can’t wait! We’re not here for our own purpose. My reason for coming on this trip had to not be for my own growth. It had to be first for God and to bring Him glory and worship, second for others such as the people of Africa and the people on my team, and lastly for myself. A huge part of this trip has been about dying to self and having Christ live through me. Galations 2:20 is my battle cry! Sorry to everyone back home, but you might not recognise me when this thing is said and done. For one I won’t be shaving for the whole 2 months but hopefully I will be a man who seeks to love God and to love others above all else.
