Just over 24 hours before we board our plane to go to Africa with one stop over in Amsterdam. I can’t wait to finally get on the plane and go. Training camp has been different than expected, but fun. I thought it would mostly just be getting to know one another and taking things easy before we go, but it has been filled with many activities and sessions. We started off the journey with a cold adventure roaming around Atlanta. Everyone seemed to be dressed for Africa weather and was not quite prepared for the freezing walk outside. Since then, we have been staying mostly inside the campsite. Considering I left Canada, I thought it would be a lot warmer than it is!
I am excited to get to know my team better and grow together as a family. Can’t wait to tell of all the awesome and exciting experiences and stories that I will have to tell along this journey. Goodbye for now 🙂
