Habari!
I’ve been looking forward to blogging all week because of the excitement of sharing some of the amazing adventures I’ve already had here in Africa. So far I’ve rafted the Nile, which I think is maybe one of the coolest things I will ever be able to claim to my name. It was slightly terrifying , but incredibly invigorating.
Right now my team and I are sleeping in a school. We do door to door ministry daily, but have also done children and discipleship seminars.
The people of Uganda are wonderful. They are heartbreakingly welcoming, and have already blessed me so much. The children flock to us, shamelessly calling us mazunga, or white person, everywhere we go.. Uganda in its self is a beautiful country. Apparently the season is dry right now, however, the mountains and trees are luscious and green, and there are flowers everywhere.
Please continue to pray for my team and I. Pray that God will continue to lead us to work selflessly, and that our hearts will be aimed for nothing else but his glory. Pray for good health and safety.
Ugandan internet is questionable, so please forgive me if I don’t write as often as I promised.
Love,
Shelby
