Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
This verse has been on my heart for the last few days and I absolutely love it! I’ve heard and read over this more times than I can count but lately I’ve tried extra hard to apply it my to life.
This describes God’s love for us. His love is all of these things. That is so amazing! If you really take some time to focus on the words and concentrate on the meaning, it’s mind blowing. When was the last time you could say these words described your love? I was talking to our team leader, Lizzie, and she told me about a sermon she heard where the pastor suggested you replace the word LOVE with YOUR NAME. Let’s try..

Ouch, wake-up call! I’m a broken mess and I need Jesus. (That’s the best news I’ve gotten in a long time.) God’s love is perfect. It is forever faithful and unshakable. That is what I strive for. I want to love GOD the way He loves me<3 I realize that is an impossible goal to reach but if I wake up every morning ready to fight the good fight and have my heart set my Savior, my life will dramatically change. I have a lot to learn but I'm so incredibly thankful God has opened my eyes to the purest form of LOVE. His LOVE.
For the first time I can say I know what God's love feels like. It fills every void and heals every wound. Through His love I am able to love myself. I am a daughter of the All Mighty. That is where I find my identity. Where do you find yours?
I encourage everyone to read chapter 13 of 1 Corinthians. I pray God opens your eyes and you allow Him to fill your heart to His perfect love<3
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE.
