Light of the world.

“Do you believe that I am able to do this?”
“Yes, Lord.” they replied.
Then Jesus touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith, it will be done to you.”
And their sight was restored.
-Matthew 9:27-29
I want to see miracles in Africa. Do I believe that God is able? I acknowledge that apart form Him, I can do nothing. My prayer is that He continue to use me to reveal His glory and power to the people of Africa. And I have full confidence and faith that He will.
“Come, follow me.”
Jesus said, “And I will make you fishers of men.”
At once they left their nets and followed Him.
-Matthew 4:19-20
When Jesus says, “Come,” and calls me by name, the only appropriate response is to leave everything and follow Him. This is the begining of the end. I am coming to the end of myself. Following Jesus will cost me my life, but the true gift is found in denying everything that I am so that Jesus can be made fully alive in me. My life is a declaration of God’s glory, and when I look into the eyes of the people here in Uganda, my heart overflows with compassion, an intrinsic longing for them to know that Jesus is calling them by name, and desires an intimate relationship with them as well. I thank my Heavenly Father who has given me strength, that He considered me faithful, appointing me to complete the work that I have received from Him. Stepping into the unknown requires a huge leap of faith, but I find everlasting solace in the presence of the one who sent me on this incredible journey.
So, thank you for keeping Africa and I in your prayers. Knowing that you support the work that God is doing in my life means more to me than you’ll ever know. 🙂
