Brothers and Sisters, Colossians 2 speaks for my heart right now,
“For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ. Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.”
Though at times we are called to serve in separate ways, we remain united in the body of Christ. Let us not look forward only to an earthly reunion among friends and family, nor shall we stop at our heavenly reunion, but let each of us set our sights on the glory of our Father that is to be revealed when we finally meet Him face to face.
Friends, it is my prayer to find that we’ve all grown in love and faith in Christ upon my safe return, Lord willing. Let us not grow weary, do not settle for lukewarm, lest we fall idle. Persevere. Run hard for Christ. Faithfully proclaim the gospel as the spirit moves you, and do not be ashamed.
