One Month In Maasai Land

Wow how to sum up such an amazing month! Well.....the first thing that I can say about it is "the grace is sufficient". (Thanks Liz for the quote)
Between not showering, language barrier, Africa time, sleeping in tents, dirt, and goats and sheep being part of our everyday life it was an unforgettable month!
Not to mention all of the amazing things that God was doing in and through our team of 14 strong ladies.

The main focus of our ministry was hut to hut evangelism. It was so amazing how open and receptive the Maasai people were to Gods message. He was so
alive and working at full steam in the month that we were there, not only in our experiences with the people but also with all of the animals and the
landscape around us. We saw elephants almost every morning, giraffes on our drive in and out of the Maasai land, gazelle, zebras, and heard hyenas at night.
We got to climb up a mountain our second day there and then a couple weeks in we got to climb up some huge rocks! It was so great and we got our exercise in by
walking about 2-4 miles per day to work off all of our potatoes, chapatti, rice, cabbage, and beans!

We also had such amazing contacts while we were there. We were staying with the Mashami family and had the best cook ever known as Agnes! Such a sweet and
loving family! There was also Pastor Samuel who set everything up and was such a great help, along with the two sweetest men ever, who we liked to refer to as
our African dads, Peter and Joseph. They were our protectors at night as well as the two best friends one could ever meet. Oh and one couldn't forget Hudson and
his amazing family. They also gave us all Maasai names which was soo cool. Mine was Naretu which means 'The Helper'.

It was overall UNFORGETTABLE! I Love Maasai land and Kenya as a whole as well as all of the people we have met!
 Love Chaunseen
