For the last three months Ive told myself that my team was the least important aspect of this mission trip. While I was prepared to grow close to this group of people through shared experiences, I never realized how quickly we would become brother and sister in Christ. This weekend has been very intense and has begun to prepare me for a summer full of change and adventure. I have seen God work and heard His voice more in the last 72 hours than in the last three months. I feel like this is because I am surrounded by young adults who are so thirsty so hungry for the Lord that they are constantly asking him to come into our presence. When a group of two or more come together in prayer, God will show up and answer prayer. I have been struggling to surround myself with people who are seeking the Lord and now everywhere I look are individuals that I know will help me grow in my relationship with Christ. Seeing God move in big ways with this group of people and with me is what I needed before we left for Africa. I needed the affirmation that we are all supposed to be here together and that God has placed us in this group at this time for a reason. I needed this community and I needed God to remind me of the importance surround myself in those who want to know the Lord.
