The people who survive the sword; will find favor in the desert.

Love everyone, for I have loved you first.

The Lord speaks to me in strange ways.

As we were sitting in our minibus in the pouring rain on our way to visit someone’s home, I decided to take a personal time to worship with my phone.

Not my most preferable method of worship, but hey, worship is worship.

As I look out the window and see the faces of people, I realize something.

They aren’t just people.

They are souls.

They are the image of God.

They have emotions, they feel happiness, and pain, just like I do.

Often times it is very hard to relate to someone with such a different lifestyle than me, but God gave me the most beautiful revelation.

Salvation is for everyone.

It isn’t for the Azungu (White man), or the Akuda. (Black man)

I’m reminded of the song most young Christians at one point in their life sang in Sunday school,

“Jesus loves the little children, all the little children of the world. Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight, Jesus loves the little children of the world.”

God loves everyone, not because He has to, or because He feels like he needs to.

God loves everyone because He wants to.

God has chosen to love and embrace all people, because they are precious, and He created them perfectly, in His own image.

I ask myself,

“Okay God, what do you want me to do? I’m here, what are you trying to tell me.”

Love everyone, for I have loved you first.”

The KING of the universe spoke to me.

Such a simple word, but there’s beauty in that simplicity.

It’s a command, one that is easier said than done.

5 minutes after I receive the word from The Lord, our bus driver ends up stuck in the mud. As the ladies went ahead to the location, as it was close, the men stayed behind. Men from the village came, and dropped whatever they were doing to help us get our stuck bus out of the deep mud and water we were in. The Lord used them to show me that no matter what I am doing, I should always stop, and show love to people who need it.
