The other day I was sitting in the overbearing Ugandan sun, fighting the discomfort of the blistering asphalt, and was wondering, with a slight edge, why God had sent me to Africa. Within moments, the air began to cool and dark clouds began to crowd the sky. The rain that followed was short and light. However, the few drops that blessed my skin surged in me a new hope and purpose. I heard God say that the state of desperation that holds Uganda is as stifling as the hot sun that pours over this land. The country needs hope. The country needs to be remembered. The people want to know that they are loved. That is why God has placed me here. I want Uganda, all of Africa, to know that they are not forgotten by God. I want to be the rain that shocks their spirits.
Pray, please that God will continue to lead me. Pray that God will reveal himself to my team and I, and the people we minister to. Pray for wisdom, grace, and humility in all areas whether that be in ministry or within my team.
Thank you for all of your support and prayers.
