So im sitting out in a field near a forest on the beautiful campus of toccoa falls college in georgia. All 16 of us on our team camped out here last night using only 2 tarps, some rope, a wet log, and some rocks. This training camp has been tough but so great so far. The people here are so real and when we all gather, the spirit of God goes crazy. Its impossible to ignore. My team is amazing. Everyone is from different places…atlanta, maryland, new york, denver, missouri, wisconsin, indiana, chicago, philadelphia and virginia. Everyone is so pumped to leave on tuesday but also extremely tired because. Hardly anyone out of over 200 campers slept last night because it was so cold. Im learning more about the culture and language of the people we will be getting to know. Also im pretty sure the tsa at the airport took my toothbrush. Yesterday i brushed with a washcloth. Training camp has taught me so much about myself and others on my team. Everyone has something to contribute and God has spoken so much in the last few days. It’s going to be an amazing experience starting tomorrow when we leave for Uganda!!
