WE ARE COMING.

For the past four days we have been in the beautiful mountains of Taccoa Falls, GA at Training Camp. This is where team members came from across the US to meet and prepare for the mission field.

I’ll be honest, my emotions on my way to camp were very comparable to dread. The main source of this emotion was the thought of the unknown. Luckily, God has slowly changed my heart and as we prepare to leave for Africa in just a few short hours, I know we are ready to bring Jesus to the nations.

Training camp is quite tiring…

We have two lovely leaders, Eric and Kristen; they have brought so much unity to our group.

Fun Facts:

-we will be traveling over a 24 hour time period

-we successfully built and slept in a tarp shelter

-my sleeping bag has been deemed inadequate

-I have worn the same clothing 4 days in a row

Sleeping soundly in our shelter…
This beautiful outfit has lasted me four whole days…feeling fresh!

Anyway, I am filled with joy at the thought of finally reaching Africa and the people we are going to serve. One of the speakers this week pointed out that we have nothing to offer these people. Only Christ can bring hope to their hearts, only He can work miracles for them and only

He will be with them when we leave.

Something that really moves me is the thought of being an answer to someone’s prayer. There are people in Africa at this very moment who have been praying for God to help them or speak to them. For years that have asked and waited for healing or hope. Through our obedience, WE will be the answer to their prayers. God is PHYSICALLY sending us to be His hands and feet.He is pursuing their hearts and will stop at nothing to show them that he cares specifically for each and every one of them. They are waiting for God to show up in their lives…

And WE ARE COMING.
