Kenyan Family

Kenya is absolutely amazing. It is absolutely gorgeous.  So much different than Uganda in so many ways.  Kenya looks exactly like the Lion King. Disney did a pretty good job portraying Africa.  Anyway Kenya is amazing. This month we tented. It was so awesome!  I’ve learned to see God in the small things. It is so easy to see God here in Kenya.  Our contact was Pastor David. His family was absolutely amazing!  They loved on us and welcomed us in such awesome ways. They treated us as family not as visitors.  I loved spending time with them by the...

Three Things

“Hey, what are three things you are grateful for?” Every couple days I ask my team that question. Sometimes, it takes a few minutes to really think about what we are grateful for, and other times it comes as easy as breathing. Pastor David offered, but I told him I wasn’t ready to be a mother. Plus he has such a wonderful family here.   He is so precious. He gives me butterfly kisses. He gives me fishy kisses. He looks into my eyes with his big brown eyes and just smiles!   When we get home from afternoon ministry I bend down and open my arms and he comes running into my arms and jumps up on me! It is adorable. He clings to me anytime we...

The Big City

In between travel from Uganda to Kenya, we were able to have a few days of rest in Nairobi. There was so much to do and see I could hardly call it rest. We stayed in a neat hostel which had hot (ish) showers and was an awesome place to stay! Nairobi is a huge city and made me feel at home. We got to eat good food, shop around, and hang out with the whole expedition team. I really enjoyed my time there.   The past week we have been staying in Ngabolo in our tents. It has been awesome to have our own personal space and live in the outdoors. We have had the opportunity to help cook the...
