Diving in!

Hey Family and Friends of the Expedition Team. I just got off the phone with one of the leaders. And so far the team is doing so well!!  Their ministry host picked them up from the airport and they drove to his town that first night. When they arrived to his church at 3:30am they were greeted with plates full of rice and beans ha! And moments later the pastor said, "We are so excited you are here, and we have been waiting so long! You will do our church service at 6:30am!" So with a long travel day behind them, and 3 hours til church ahead of them…the team leader said...

Safe Arrival!

We just spoke with the team leaders and they've all arrived safely in Kenya.  They are in route to their ministry site and will be settling in these next few days and getting some orientation from their host.  Expect to see some blogs rolling out in the next few days as they find internet. Lion Of Judah….

I was going to write about our canvas that we made as a team but I can’t get the picture to work. so I’ll just give you an overview. We started with a picture of a tree and a heart wrapped in the roots to symbolize that we are rooted and growing in love where ever we go. the second picture was of a lion to represent our fearlessness as a team. The third was a picture of a man holding a candle to represent the light of god that we want to take with us and give to all the people we come into contact with. The Beginning

I am currently only on day three of training camp, not even in Africa yet, and God has already begun to work on changing my heart, on growing and stretching me in my faith, and on pressing me to do, say, and believe things I would never have dreamed  of before.  Thursday night, I thought I knew what to expect spiritually.  I thought I knew who I would become and who I’d be at the end of this African adventure.  I’ve discovered, however,  that God’s intentions are far greater and more extravagant than I could have ever imagined.    ...
