TITC (This is Training Camp)

“How beautiful upon the mountain are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion ‘Your God reigns.’ The voice of your watchmen – they lift up their voice; together they sing for joy; for eye to eye they see the return of the Lord to Zion. Break forth together into singing you waste places of Jerusalem for the Lord has comforted His people; He has redeemed Jerusalem. The Lord has bared His holy arm before the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the...

When God speaks, I want to listen.

What a rush. Training camp has been CRAZY! for real.  It is amazing to see the hearts of everyone here. That their passion is to go to these nations and serve the Lord. These past few days feel like years. My team is my family, short and simple and God has been working in my life in indescribable ways.  For one of the first times I am truly understanding the POWER of the Holy Spirit. The POWER of Jesus name, that simply speaking out His name can change the world. Regardless of any challenges we face the name of Jesus will hold strong. This time of training has truly been...

Drink and Be Thirsty

When God’s children listen, He speaks true story It’s crazy to me, and yet I’ve been experiencing this truth the moment I arrived at training camp I have loved the opportunity to simply revel in the presence of God and praise Him with some of His other children There are so many things I have been learning and soaking up, but the main thing I realized is that I never want my thirst for knowledge of God to be satisfied. There will never be a time when I know everything about Him, and I love that as long as I keep pursuing God, He will pursue me. I can drink and drink and...

First Few Days

Just over 24 hours before we board our plane to go to Africa with one stop over in Amsterdam. I can’t wait to finally get on the plane and go. Training camp has been different than expected, but fun. I thought it would mostly just be getting to know one another and taking things easy before we go, but it has been filled with many activities and sessions. We started off the journey with a cold adventure roaming around Atlanta. Everyone seemed to be dressed for Africa weather and was not quite prepared for the freezing walk outside. Since then, we have been staying mostly inside the...

Kingdom Seeking & Lions

What has training camp been?   Training camp has been a journey. A journey of surrender & freedom. A journey of kingdom seeking and deliverence. I have been filled with the Lord like never before & learned that as long as I am willing, Hewill continue to fill me. We serve a God that is a well that never goes dry. He calls us to surrender all that hindersus from OUR best so that he can give us HIS best. Surrender doesn’t mean to throw your hands up & simply give up. Surrender is BEAUTFIUL. This week I have learned to open my hands to a God who loves me more than I will...

Lions, Tigers and Bears

So, we are off to Africa tomorrow, which I couldn’t be more excited about!!   Training Camp has been pretty intense.  It has been a lot different than what I am used to with respect to worshiping God and how people communicate and hear from God.   Needless to say, it has been a bit of a struggle, but I am very thankful that I have this opportunity and can’t wait to grow in my relationship with God over the next 4 months.   To be honest..I am just really excited to see the culture and the beautiful people in Africa.  I have wanted to go to Africa...
