No scheduled ministry

No planned ministry

So, I am currently writing this while sitting on a nice comfy couch, drinking a banana smoothie and using wifi. There's something wrong with this picture, right? I'm supposed to be living MISSIONARY lifestyle. You know, walking around in the hot sun all day, interacting with people through hand motions, and taking baby wipe showers. The funny part is, after leaving Adrift (the place we stayed at for debrief) and pulling into this backpacker hostel, I was craving that lifestyle.

I really thought that since we've had a lack of ministry the past few months in Malawi and Tanzania that we would FINALLY be without running water and would be starting ministry the second we arrived to our new location in Uganda…

I was wrong.

Our contact hasn't been responding to our leaders, so we are kinda in a stand still. When Ross and Lauren (my awesome leaders) informed us of this news we were all pretty disappointed. My whole team has been patiently waiting for the 8+ hour ministry days, so we all prayed that Uganda would be filled with it from the start.

After unpacking my tent and pack, I realized something; being here IS our ministry. It's a 24/7 event that we sometimes forget about! There are so many people who need to be shown love, so we need to seize this opportunity and make the best of it. After all, it is all a part of God's plan 🙂 So, to answer everyones' questions about what my team will be doing for the next week or so, we are ministering to backpackers from all over the world.

HOW COOL IS THAT?!
