The five C’s of Tororo

Cockroaches, Chicken, Children, Cola, and Church

Well my friends,  this is Africa, TIA…

Cockroaches- lots of them.

Chickens- we’ve slaughtered them, not killed them. Yes, there’s a difference.

Children- too cute.

Cola- coke keeps me chuggin.

Church-  we’re working with the Deliverance Church of Tororo in Uganda. Today, I gave the sermon.  It proved to be challenging communicating with a translator. But hey, all praise and glory to God!!

Ministry thus far has been predominantly door to door evangelizing, and prayer.  It seems to by the best way to reach people in this culture.  We’ve been to the local hospital to pray over each man, woman, and child and Lord willing, we will be returning to the hospital tomorrow for prayer and evangelizing.  The people here are incredibly welcoming.  We are rarely turned away, not that everyone is accepting of the gospel by any means, but people are very polite.

Many thanks to everyone who helped get me, and my team here.  Thank you for the continued support in prayer as well.  Most of all, thanks be to God for giving us the reason we are here: the grace of Christ Jesus.
