God’s Power in Prayer

Our team arrived in Rukungiri, Uganda about a week and a half ago. It has been awesome. We moved from tents to beds, from fetching water from a stream 20 minutes away to having showers and running water, and from being 3 and a half hours away from a small city to 3 minutes from a large town. Our ministry here is varied. Each morning we go to an all boys school to lead a devotion. Then we go to a clinic across town to pray for people there and help in any way we can. After that some of our team go teach at an elementary school, and others go back to the boys school to hang out and play...

Feels Like Home

Uganda is beautifully created with green lush hills covered in banana trees and colorful rooftops. As I look out over our porch into Rukungiri, I am amazed by this place that God created. Uganda feels like home to me. Our ministry in Rukungiri, Uganda has been so amazing. We have been serviing at the near by clinic where we pray over malaria patients and new born infants. I can feel the Lord working through our team as the days go on and those patients are healed and discharged. The team has also been helping at The Little Angels Primary School where I have been able to teach the Primary...

Where our Trust is Without Borders

I impatiently begged God everyday to show me just exactly why he had sent me here to Africa, but being who he is, he didn't just blatantly say to me what he had in store for me. Instead he did me one better. He blessed me through someone or something everyday of this past month, and patiently he waited for me to realize that every moment I have been here has brought growth. He brought me to a land I never thought I 'd see. He ttok me way past my idea of comfort. he took me deeper than I thought I would ever go. Then he stripped me pf all the expectations I had, and rid me of fear of...

Teaching in Uganda

So far we have loved our time in Uganda, we are in the tropical-mountainous region and so far God has allowed us to be apart of some really cool ministries.  Everyday looks different for us but it usually starts at 6 am and we are on the road by 6:45 to walk to the boys secondary boarding school to do morning devotions and songs.  From there we head to the primary school and part ways with half of the team, half stay and help teach the different grades and subjects and the other half of the team heads to the medical clinic. We alternate days so that we go to both.  The kids...

A Feast

I have been transformed. The Lord has pulled me and stretched me in so many ways since we have been here in Rukungiri, Uganda. My eyes have been opened to what it means to be Spirit-minded and "living" in the Kingdom of God. Kenya and Uganda are completely different experiences. Where we lacked shelter in Kenya, our team has a house in Uganda. Where we lacked food, we have abundance here. Where we lacked comfort there, we have complete rest here. Where we had consistency, we have an outpour of options here. The Lord has provided tenfold, but with His provision comes even more need...

Powerful name of JESUS!

Hello all from Uganda! Uganda is great! So extremely different from Kenya! we are staying in an amazing HOME with SHOWERS and BEDS!! It is fantastic! I am being stretched every day by the faith of all of the people around me. We go to the school everyday to either teach, correct papers, or play games with the kids. This week the church decided to do a 7 day fast, and we also got to help in Bible study to talk about people fasting and being devoted to prayer. I really felt the Lord leading me to fast for one day so yesterday I did a fast. I wasn't sure why, but I decided to follow His...
