We Have Arrived!!

Hey Family & Friends! We have safely arrived in Nanyuki, Kenya! After a long journey, we were greeted by smiling faces and a delicious meal, and then were able to catch up on some sleep! This morning we headed in to town to get some supplies for the next few weeks. We are going to be heading to our ministry locations in the bush! We will not have internet for the duration of our time in Kenya (about two and a half weeks), but rest assured, we are in GREAT hands! Please keep us in prayer! We're looking forward to sharing some stories in a few weeks! Love, Ashley 🙂

Realizing Real Love

What is love really? I thought I loved with my whole heart.  I thought I knew what love was. I thought wrong.   The Lord has placed on my heart recently that I can only love purely with his love.  That I can not love without loving him.  And I can not fully love Him without loving myself, who he created me to be. Woah.   I have always been really hard on myself.  I never felt like I fit in growing up.  I always beat myself up over my mistakes and I never let myself forget them.   But you know what? Gods love is so much stronger.  God...

No scheduled ministry

No planned ministry     So, I am currently writing this while sitting on a nice comfy couch, drinking a banana smoothie and using wifi. There's something wrong with this picture, right? I'm supposed to be living MISSIONARY lifestyle. You know, walking around in the hot sun all day, interacting with people through hand motions, and taking baby wipe showers. The funny part is, after leaving Adrift (the place we stayed at for debrief) and pulling into this backpacker hostel, I was craving that lifestyle. I really thought that since we've had a lack of ministry...
