Lions, Tigers and Bears

So, we are off to Africa tomorrow, which I couldn’t be more excited about!!   Training Camp has been pretty intense.  It has been a lot different than what I am used to with respect to worshiping God and how people communicate and hear from God.   Needless to say, it has been a bit of a struggle, but I am very thankful that I have this opportunity and can’t wait to grow in my relationship with God over the next 4 months.   To be honest..I am just really excited to see the culture and the beautiful people in Africa.  I have wanted to go to Africa...

Lion Of Judah….

I was going to write about our canvas that we made as a team but I can’t get the picture to work. so I’ll just give you an overview. We started with a picture of a tree and a heart wrapped in the roots to symbolize that we are rooted and growing in love where ever we go. the second picture was of a lion to represent our fearlessness as a team. The third was a picture of a man holding a candle to represent the light of god that we want to take with us and give to all the people we come into contact with. Then we drew Africa (obviously). anyways. god is so good. I have started to...

My prayers are with you

Brothers and Sisters, Colossians 2 speaks for my heart right now, “For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ. These feet were made for walkin’

note: this is Abby on Megan’s profile … still lost my password 🙂   This week in Moshi has really flown by, I can’t believe that our time here is almost over…. and that a week from today we’ll be leaving East Africa for America. As I was thinking about this the other day, I had my head in my lap and was looking at my (mosquito-bitten) feet. God started to help me think back on all the places He’s taken these feet this summer. Playing tag with kids in Kwapa (the bush) Uganda, to the busy streets of Tororo, up hills and on top of rocks to watch the...

One Day Blind

Walk by faith and not by sight. Easy, right? I definitely thought so. I thought I knew completely what it meant to walk by faith and not by sight.. I mean after all, here I was in Africa… following the Lord and the plan that He has for me here, trusting that He knows what He’s doing when I don’t. I walk by faith. God has definitely been stretching what I “know” about walking by faith and not by sight. He literally took away my sight. Yep. I spent July 21st completely blind. Well, kind of. You see, I have absolutely TERRIBLE vision… like...
