Steadfast Faith

I don’t know whether to talk about the bustling city with dirt roads filled with bicycles, motorcycles, cars, and big trucks where the smell of car exhaust is all you can smell or the roosters crowing and goats and cows everywhere, or the most incredibly friendly people that welcome you wherever you go. But I think I’ll talk about the door to door evangelism that our team has been apart of here in Uganda. Like I said, the people who live here are incredible. Whether it be people from the church, out on the street, or when we do door to door evangelism, they are consistently...

Playing with the Orphans!

Utter awesomeness.   Finney, Pastor Philemon of Deliverance Church’s son, decides to take Mallarie, Jessica and I on a small short adventure to the well down the street from our house on the last day of our stay in Uganda. Everyone was just sitting around the house waiting until the farewell “fellowship” at 4 so the three of us jumped at the opportunity to get out and do something. I may not be completely where I want to be but I know that God has me right where I need to be. 😉 I know...

Absolute Truth

There is something remarkable that God’s been teaching me since I have been here and its that his word is absolute truth. Your response is … yeah alllee, duh I would hope you believe that since you are a Christian.   Don’t get me wrong, I have always believed his word was truth, but I also believed it as if it was written 2,000 years ago.   Example: The first morning we were here, we didn’t have much to eat and all we had was some peanut butter and one piece of toast for each of us. Angie prayed that God would multiply that food and that our stomachs...
