First blog post.
Yeah, I've been slackin'.
I've just been soaking it all in, letting The Lord give a word for me to say.
I was going to blog tomorrow, and I decided to open my notebook with notes a family member told me to read on specific dates, and today's had a little note,
"Don't forget to blog."
Okay, Jesus, I'll do it!
Chimutu.
My heart is no longer in Atlanta, Georgia, but in a small village 10 minutes north of Lilongwe I had no idea existed until 5 days ago. My life was changed in an instant, as I was greeted with the most welcoming of smiles, from some of the friendliest people I have ever met in my entire life. They have quickly changed my perspective on happiness, and how you don't need material items, or social status, to belong in this world, and to be happy. I saw a kid have the time of his life with a bent nail and a pot, as he pretended to be a drummer, smiling and laughing, happy as ever. It's attitudes like this that remind me that there is so much more to life than what we own.
Me with some of the children after they told me they wanted to be strong warriors for Jesus.
Come, Lord. Do not delay.
Bless the villages.
Bless the land.
Bless Malawi.
Bless Africa.
Bless the world.
