We have had an awesome first few days of ministry. Malawi is such an incredible place.
We are working with Harvesters International, helping with a church plant in a village called Chimutu. (meaning, Big Head) We have spent the last 3 days going to a few surrounding villages and inviting people to church on Sunday. But my favorite part has been building relationships with the amazing people in this village.
How blessed are we? That we have been sent to love these people? That WE get to witness the crazy, wonder working power of Jesus, firsthand?
Our God is BIG. I have witnessed transformation and some incredible bonds build between our team, and seeing that love spread to these Malawians is awesome.
We have no power. Without Jesus, in front, beside and behind us, we are simply a bunch of funny looking mzungus, carrying some Bibles and spouting off about some guy named Jesus. But with Him, we can see miracles. We can marvel at how He is working, how He heals and how much we need Him in our lives.
That's pretty cool, don't you think?
This first week has been incredible and I can't wait to see what He has in store for us next! 🙂
