As most of you know, before I can start my fantastic adventure to Africa, I had to first come to training camp in Georgia. I’m not sure why, but I just kind of thought that it would be one of those typical get to know your teammates and listen to some lectures kind of thing. Basically, just a few more boring days in the states standing between me and Africa. Well, that was a bit of a fail! I didn’t even realize that perhaps I needed to learn a little something before I could jump right into such a huge endeavor One of our speakers taught about our need to surrender some things before we could be wholly filled with the Spirit I had no idea that anything was hindering me from just letting the Spirit flow but after thouroughly examining myself, I realized that as usual, I was wrong After I surrendered all of myself to God and just let Him do what He wants with this trip and my life in general, I felt so free to just be filled by Him I didn’t realize that my cup was so dry and being filled by other things, things that are not of God but of myself. Once I was released from that, the Holy Spirit was free to fill me up to overflowing so that I may pour out myself on the peoples of the nations where I will be going. My cup overfloweth!!
