So after a wonderful three day run around in Nairobi that included a tattoo, nose piercing, and who knows how many miles of walking around the big city, we are heading out to the Kenyan bush. We’ve been told that even the leaders know very little about the ministry that’s going to happen. I am so excited! I feel like this is really going to prepare us for Tanzania and the ATL (ask the lord) month that is coming up.
Uganda was great. It amazes me every day to be surrounded by such a genuine and hospitable people group. My heart has been broken for the conditions some of these people live in but I rejoice in how they take such great pride and find so much joy in what they do have. When we pray for families, they don’t pray for money or a bigger house…they just ask us to pray for the health of their families.
No matter what we do as far as ministry goes I’m learning to accept that God has me in each moment for a reason and I need to embrace it and pay attention to everything that goes on each day.
I’m so excited for everything that’s going on here ad so excited for all of the things that are going to happen when I get home. I continue to miss my family and my wonderful church body but I also continue to grow every day in the relationships being formed on my team. I’m so blessed to have a home and family away from home.
