I’ve been HEALED!

Yes, you read it, I’ve been healed.
Now I’m sure that you are wondering what I’ve been healed from?!
Car Sickness. haha.
Africans have a COMPLETELY new way of driving. It commonly involves very high speeds, driving on all sides of the road, and ALMOST wrecking on the regular.
Africa has also healed me of my fear of vomit and of turkeys.
but that is another story for another time. Hahaha.

Uganda…where do I even begin. Well, for starters, it is NOTHING like the commercials depict. It is by far one of the most beautiful, broken places that I have ever seen. There is so much green, meeting its equal of red clay (that is impossible to get off your clothes). The streets are covered in shops and vendors and there is fruit to buy for miles upon miles.  Children cover the streets yelling “mzungu” (white man) all the time. They love us and constantly great us with a smile and a hug. We have been so lucky since we got here. No serious health issues…we are even staying with a Pastor and his family…in a house! There are three bedrooms that the 16 of us share, a shower room (sorta), a dining room, and a living room that we occupy often. The family cooks us all of our meals (African food = yummm) and helps us wash our clothes. Peace, the wife of the Pastor that we live with has been such a blessing. She constantly nurtures us and helps us do just about everything. You can tell that we are foreign, but we all know that God makes all things possible. We have spent most of the last week becoming accustom to the life here. That consists of a LOT of church and a LOT of tea. Haha. We go to the church almost daily and do sermons as well as share testimonies. We also do door-to-door evangelism (which was my first time!) and pray for healing over so many people. We teach English in the local schools during the day and we celebrate God and each other at night. We have traveled all over Uganda. We flew into Entebbe, Uganda. Our first day in Africa we white water rafted down the Nile River in Jinga, Uganda! We live with the pastor and teach in Budamwaya, Uganda.  We went to the capital (Kampala, Uganda) and saw all the craziness there. Yesterday, we got to go to the shores of Lake Victoria in Guaba, Uganda. This journey has been amazing, and it has only just begun. We are so blessed. I’m not saying that every moment is easy, but every moment is worth it.  This life is amazing. This life is of God.
