Today has been the best day for the spirit working for me. We went to Bethel School and did a service for them. Last night I was up till 4 am just dancing in the living room and praying. I had a whole dance come to my head and oh it was wonderful. So I did it at the school for the kids. They seemed to love it. I felt like it wasn’t my best dance but it was so heartfelt. I knew God was working through me and that is all that matters. I am totally in love with worshiping God in dance. And I have found that I feel so much closer to him every night as I dance till I cant move anymore. I have gotten out so much frustration and worry in every move I take. So this has confirmed that I cant go on without dancing and praising.
Worship has been amazing!! The way that the Ugandans praise is so beautiful. They just move and they don’t care who is watching. They speak with authority and they know that God is with them always. How amazing is that?? We have gotten to sit and watch them preach. But also a few people have lead the worship and the Gospel. It is amazing the words that they have shared, it hits us all right in the heart and we need that as much as the people here. We have also gone and taught at Cornerstone school. The children are so precious. The way they learn is so different from us. But they do a great job. We have gone a few days to work with them. And each time I learn more and more about the culture and the way God works in them. The children all sing songs to praise him and they are happy as they sing. That makes my heart smile!
God has been working in my heart since training camp. I said a prayer there that he would break my heart and change it for his will. Yeah never pray that if you dont mean it!! Cuz he answers in a huge way!! He has been showing my what I have been doing to keep him out even when I dont think I am. I have been holding back a ton, but not anymore. I am a new Christian. I will do as the Lord tells me and I will do it without waiting anymore. I keep getting told that I have become very bold in what I say. That is great to hear because I needed to start doing that! My team has been amazing. They are always speaking words of life into me. And oh how that helps. With out them in my life right now I would still be stagnant. and that is not where I should be. So now is my time to step up and go into the bold and make my life new. That really happened as we were doing door to door evangelism. We all spoke so bold in Gods word and we prayed like no other. So God is really working through us as he promised.
On the totally fun side of things, we have gotten to do some pretty awesome things!! The very first night we got to Uganda we had to camp in our tents. That was pretty fun! Then we got up the next day and we went to the Nile. How awesome is that?? I mean that is an amazing place! We went white water rafting. It was so sweet. We got to swim in the Nile also. I loved it!! So we got to have fun before we started our work.
I forgot to mention, our house is amazing!! We have electricity. We have a shower. It is basically a tub of water with a shower head and gravity makes the water come out. but hey it works!! and our host family is so amazing!! they go above and beyond! They cook for every meal and the food is amazing!!
