Kenya!

We have arrived! After 36 hours of travel we made it to Nanyuki, Kenya around 1:30 last night (Kenya time). Both African expeditions teams arrived safely, and thankfully no luggage was lost! We were greeted by pastor Samuel at the airport who then led us to two buses that took us from the airport in Nairobi to Nanyuki. When we arrived we were delightfully surprised to find dinner waiting on us.  A delicious meal of chipati(?), rice, fresh fruit, and mashed potatoes, talk about spoiled. The church we were staying at put us up in a room where we enjoyed a solid three hours of sleep. This morning we woke up to another delicious meal of fresh fruit and chai tea, then loaded up onto the buses to head to our next destination. We are now at a shopping center in Nanyuki to load up on supplies for the next two weeks in the bush before we venture off! Below is a picture of the two teams on the bus this morning.

It's crazy how close this team has grown in the five days we have spent together. We have worshipped, prayed, learned, eaten, and laughed together at training camp to get prepared for the trip ahead of us. It's evident God was at work in putting this team together. God has already blessed us so much, it's almost hard to believe what more blessings our future will hold.

Today our two African expeditions teams will go their separate ways on the journeys that God has set before each of us. Although we are unsure of the exact plans each day holds for us, our overall mission is evangelism in the community by sharing God's word, and building relationships among the people we are with. Africa is beautiful so far, and we can't wait to see what else it has in store for us. Keep our teams in yours prayers! Until next time!
