I am a mzungu. I have been reassured of this fact hundreds of times in my time so far in Uganda. Everywhere we go we are called mzungus over and over. I love it. Sometimes I will call the locals mzungus because I love the confused look they give :). So Uganda has been a blessing so far as we begin to look at our final week before moving on to Kenya. The pastor and family we are staying with are so kind. They make us way too much food, wash our clothes, and are kind every minute of every day. It is fun to engage in tickle fights with the two little girls Rachel and Debra at the end of the days when they taunt me to chase them. The students we have been teaching math and english to have been very smart, but most children do not have the money for school. I met a child who begged me to send him to school or to find him a place to stay. He was 8. Our group has grown very strong together in a very short time. God has been telling us that something amazing is going to happen as we go into the darkness in Kenya and Tanzania. Tanzania especially has been on our hearts as we are letting God completely lead us into that country and do absolutely whatever He wants. I wish I could put some pictures up but my camera got stolen my first day in Uganda. I HAVENT SHOWERED IN 12 DAYS! HOORAY! Didn’t think I could do it but a shower might be calling my name tonight before family time with the team. Praise God!
