There is so much that has happened over the past week. I don’t
even know where to begin. I guess I’ll start with when we got here. So we leave
the airport and ride an hour or so to a hostel where we are staying. When we
get there, they don’t have us on the books so we camp out that night. Next day,
we wake up early and go white water rafting in the Nile. It was crazy! That night
we stay in a nice little resort where it only cost $10 a night to stay and we
have some the best spaghetti I’ve ever eaten. The next morning we wake up and
go bungee jumping. I managed to go completely under water after jumping 145
feet by the way. And then we rode a bus 3 hours to Kampala and waited for
another 3 or 4 hours before that bus left and rode another 5 hours to Mbarara. We
got to our house late that night and we were fed chimpati, which is amazing. And
now we’ve been in Mbarara for several days. Every night we have football
ministry (soccer for you Americans) and the past two days we have been teaching
the school children. And after all of this, all I can say is I could not be in
a better place. Everything has been thrown at me at a hundred miles an hour but I’ve loved every second of this trip, even the hard ones, and I
can’t wait for what’s next.
