Theres a Man here who wears a skirt…

Salamao was in the third grade and only 15 years old when became an alcoholic. He dropped out of school to work and support his addiction, only to get fired soon after from stealing and drinking on the job. Two pastors took him in to try and help him get on his feet. He stole from both of them, sold all of their stuff, and even burned down one of their houses. He sold all of his mothers furniture and borrowed from friends. He went after women for comfort. He had realized the turmoil alcohol created in his life. He quit once or twice, and relapsed multiple times.

After years of a constant battle, he felt useless. He thought his life meant nothing. He didn’t want to live anymore.

Grace.

“And since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is – free and undeserved.” Romans 11:6

God has done incredible things in this mans life. Salamao, now 21, is living with the pastor we stayed with in Mozambique. He has been sober for at least a year, going to church, and filled with the holy spirit. I have never once seem him sad, annoyed, angry, he always has a smile on his face. He puts on dresses and dances around the house joking with us even through a language barrier. Salamao even stays home when we go out to make sure our stuff does not get stolen.

This man who dances around in a skirt, is a TRUE man of God.

God’s grace is limitless.
