Not what I expected

I grew up the daughter of two teachers. I always expected to graduate high school and go to college, maybe a state school, and do the whole 'start working, get married, have babies and a family' thing. But I've learned over and over again that God doesn't do expectations. He doesn't go for that. He's got this thing for completely, totally changing people's lives. He has a thing for completely surprising us with something even greater than we ever had planned. But it is so hard to let Him. spirit lead me where my trust is without borders

You call me out upon the waters, the great unknown where feet may fail. And there I find You in the mystery in oceans deep, my faith will stand……..Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, let me walk upon the waters wherever You would call me. Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander and my faith will be made stronger in the presence of my Savior.                                         So many times in life we pray that The Lord would guide us...

Wesley is a ministry through the University of Georgia that acts as a launching pad for missions oriented leadership. I was listening to one of my favorite worship songs and driving by myself, reminiscing on the year that had passed. I remember I was coming up to a bridge I always go under on the way back home and looking up at the rich dark night...

A Time for Everything

Ecclesiastes 3:1 "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." There is a time for everything. During our two weeks in the Kenyan bush we had many incredible experiences. We evangelized to the local Maasai people, staying in our tents within our thorn bush enclosed compound and learned how to work and interact within our team.  Staying with the Maasai tribe, eating their food and sharing campfires with them, we experienced a culture unlike any other.  We were even incredibly blessed to witness God's healing power as we did ministry. In...
